“The world always looks brighter from behind a beautiful smile!” says Dr. Joseph Stan, and he knows what he’s talking about. His belief in the power of smiles has led him to work with thousands of patients for over 20 years, helping them design a grin that reflects who they are inside. He knows from first-hand experience that people who struggle with their teeth also may struggle with low self-esteem – and a great, new smile can greatly improve an individual’s self-confidence and overall quality of life.
Dr. Stan has become a leader in his fields, receiving global
recognition from numerous respected and experienced leaders of the industry. He
is also one of the most sought-after dentists in the U.S. His enhanced artistic
expertise alongside reconstruction dentistry helps him exceed his patients’
expectations for their best smile.
Dr. Joseph Stan began his medical career after graduating from California State University in 1988 with a B.Sc. Degree in Biology. He realized that he wanted to help others with his knowledge, especially with oral hygiene and dental health. He entered the prestigious 4-year Dental Curriculum at Northwestern University School of Dentistry, receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991, followed closely by his Northeast Regional Board, which allows him to practice dentistry in 27 states. During his time in school, he was in the Top 1 Percent of his class, and earned a position on the Dean’s List. He completed a year-long residency in Esthetic Dentistry at UCLA, then finalized his schooling at the rigorous Misch Implant Institute Program, which trains dentists in advanced Dental Implants. He is one of the leading specialists in Cosmetic, Restorative, and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Stan didn’t stop educating himself after his doctorate, of course. He realized that many people avoid the dentist because they suffer from severe dental phobia. He knew that he needed the best methods to help reassure and relax these patients, so he trained in the very specialized areas of Conscious IV Sedation and Oral Sedation. He received a license to practice these sedation techniques in 2004.
Joseph Stan, DDS, has rehabilitated thousands of smiles, including those of people suffering partial or total edentulism, or the absence of teeth. Full mouth rehabilitation is his particular focus, because it helps people not only enhance dental health, but improve every aspect of their life and health.
